About the Council

Collingham with Linton Parish Council is the first tier of local government for the parishes of Collingham and Linton. The Council represents the local community and works to improve the quality of life for residents.

Its responsibilities include considering planning applications, managing and maintaining local open spaces and assets, supporting community initiatives, and liaising with Leeds City Council and other public bodies on matters affecting the parish.

The Council is made up of elected and co-opted councillors who serve on a voluntary basis, supported by the Parish Clerk, who is responsible for the day-to-day administration and implementation of council decisions.

The Council aims to act transparently, manage public funds responsibly, and ensure that the views of residents are considered in its decision-making.
